Parent UIView Background Color showing through -- How to prevent?

Parent UIView Background Color showing through -- How to prevent?

Trying to make a white uiview with a small border on the bottom that I can
use in my app.
The parent view has an orange background. The child has a white background.
For some reason the orange is appearing instead of the white.
Any ideas why? Thanks SO! :D!
